Sitting and contemplating this headline, we now know the outcome of the House of Lords’ deliberations on the legislation to pass a Bill to prevent a no deal Brexit. Both houses of Parliaments have passed legislation to block a no-deal Brexit. The bill was given royal assent on Monday 9th September. Later in the day, Parliament was prorogued (shut down) for five weeks until 14th October; and finally, later in the evening the Prime Minister’s attempt to call a snap General Election was defeated for the second time.
Regardless of where any of us stand, the Brexit debate has coloured personal, business relationships and thinking since June 2016. And still we have no clear resolution.
